Be Safe
We want you to have a great stay and believe that these policies will help to ensure that. We only rent to responsible adults and assume that you use your common sense to keep yourselves, your children, your belongings and our property safe.
No smoking
Strictly no smoking in and around the house.
the Pool
The pool is low-salt, which is great for your skin and eyes, but it means you cannot use the same swimming gear as you use in the sea and you have to shower before using the pool. Otherwise there is a risk of bringing algae from the sea to the pool, which means emptying the pool and scrubbing it for several days.
The pool does not have a fence around it, so unless supervised at all times, this is not be suitable for young children.
The pool, deck and stairs are slippery when wet, please take extra care.
Power
Power is scarce and at a premium on the island and all comes from diesel generation, please use it responsibly. In particular, air-con must not be on when doors are left open and when rooms are not in use. There is a back-up generator at the house that comes on automatically when grid power is down.
Appliances and high-speed wifi (dedicated fiber optic) are all in working order, but cannot be guaranteed as electricity and internet on the island can be intermittent. While the house has a back-up generator and surge protectors, we do not accept liability for outages or damage to equipment and do not provide refunds. Please bring additional surge protectors for your sensitive equipment. Repairs to the house’s appliances will be arranged as quickly as possible.

Guests
Only guests that you have told us about before booking are allowed at the house. This is also a matter of safety and security.
Security
The doors, locks and windows are all security grade. We recommend that you keep the doors and windows locked when not at the house and at night. We do not accept responsibility for any loss of personal belongings or valuables.
There are security cameras around the outside perimeter of the House. These can be turned off on request.
Liability
To the extent permitted by Bahamian law, we do not accept responsibility for any injuries, illness or damage. By making a reservation, you assume the risk of any injuries, illness and damage and agree to hold the owners, managers and housekeepers harmless in relation to such injuries, illness and damage.
